Carmelo Ragusa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of cloud computing, security compliance, and systems engineering. Currently serving as a DevOps Expert at SAP since April 2014, Carmelo specializes in security compliance for hyperscalers and develops automations and integrations across various platforms. Previous roles at SAP include Senior Security DevOps Engineer and Senior Systems Software Engineer, where contributions were made towards innovative governance solutions for data protection. Carmelo has also held research-focused positions at TIP HANA Cloud Computing, SAP Labs, and several universities, leading projects on cloud software testing, SLA protection, and dynamic resource management. Carmelo's educational background includes a PhD in Distributed Systems from the University of Surrey and a Master's degree in Computing Engineering from Università di Catania.
