Daniel Förderer

Daniel Farrell is an experienced data science professional currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Optum since July 2025. Prior to this role, Daniel worked as a Data Platform Engineer at ADAPT Centre from October 2021 to July 2025, where responsibilities included developing a cloud-based data platform for a €10M-funded project focused on Motor Neurone Disease, as well as creating an Android application for real-time patient data collection used in multiple clinical centres across Europe. Earlier experience includes a position as a Machine Learning Research Assistant, where deep learning models and reinforcement learning-based recommender systems were developed for educational settings, and a role as a Software Engineer at Gazeal. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Galway.
