Mary Welder

Mary Welder possesses extensive experience in development, communications, and marketing across various organizations. As the Director of Development at the UND Alumni Association & Foundation since October 2023, Mary is building on a strong background that includes roles such as Senior Communications Manager at Dell Technologies and Senior Manager of Content and Corporate Communications at Hitachi Consulting. Notably, at Destination Medical Center, Mary led marketing strategies for a significant economic initiative in Minnesota, while at Hitachi Vantara, Mary directed global brand strategies. Prior experience includes executive communications management at IBM, where Mary drove corporate communication strategies and initiatives. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of North Dakota and furthered education in Business/Corporate Communications at the University of St. Thomas.
