Nick Olney is a strategic senior leader and specialist in defence and public sector innovation, organisational transformation, and risk management. They served as Commanding Officer of 5 Squadron in the RNZAF from 2009 to 2011, later becoming Base Commander at RNZAF Base Ohakea from 2015 to 2017. Nick has held significant roles within the New Zealand Defence Force, including Chief of Staff for NZDF People Capability from 2019 to 2021 and Commander of the Deployable Joint Inter-Agency Task Force from 2021 to 2022.
