Christos Kazilas

Christos Kazilas is a QA Bioinformatics Engineer at Saphetor, with a career in bioinformatics and research spanning several roles since October 2022. Previous positions include Associate QA Bioinformatics Engineer and QA Bioinformatics Intern at Saphetor. Prior to this, Christos worked as a Research Intern at Naturalis Biodiversity Center, contributing to projects focused on automated taxonomy of Bombus spp. and phylogeography of marbled newts. Experience also includes a role as a Microbiology Laboratory Assistant at 404 General Military Hospital of Larissa during military service, and an internship at Musée national d'histoire naturelle Luxembourg, working on DNA barcoding and microsatellite development. Additional experience at WWF Greece involved the identification and evaluation of urban green spaces. Christos holds a Master's degree in Evolutionary Biology from Leiden University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
