Sam Thigpen

Sam Thigpen has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. From 2020 onwards, they are currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Gas Solutions. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, they were also the Chief Executive Officer of Thigpen Solutions.

Before their role at Thigpen Solutions, they worked at Chart Lifecycle, Inc. as the President from 2016 to 2017, where they provided a range of heat exchanger service solutions worldwide.

From 2015 to 2016, Sam was the Vice President and General Manager of Lifecycle Services at Chart Energy & Chemicals, Inc. In this role, they developed and executed service solutions strategies for process systems and equipment on a global scale.

Earlier in their career, from 2014 to 2015, they served as the President and CEO of TRF Energy Solutions, a natural gas solutions provider in North America.

From 2012 to 2014, Sam was the CEO of Thigpen Energy, LLC, a leader in high horsepower natural gas fueling solutions and automation services in North America.

Sam also has experience as the President and Owner of Thigpen Energy Services, LLC from 2005 to 2011.

Throughout their various roles, Sam Thigpen has consistently demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the energy industry.

Sam Thigpen attended Sam Houston State University from 1995 to 2001, where they studied business. In addition, from 1996 to 1997, they also attended Victoria College, where they focused on business studies. After completing their formal education, Sam obtained additional certifications in the field of natural gas systems installation. In May 2007, they obtained certifications as a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) System Installer and a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) System Installer from the Texas Railroad Commission.
