Anna Makowska

Anna Makowska is an Intellectual Property Officer at Sappi since July 2022, providing support to European and South African teams on patent and trade secret matters. Additionally, Anna serves as the Secretary of the Application Committee at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys since December 2021. Previous roles include Expert in the Polish Patent Office, where Anna conducted IP audits for SMEs, and Polish Patent and Trademark Attorney at Bury & Bury. Entrepreneurial experience includes owning MONCEPT, while earlier career positions involved R&D and intellectual property specialization at InPhoTech and the Polish Center for Photonics and Fiber Optics. Anna has an M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Warsaw University of Technology and is currently pursuing a European Patent Litigation Certificate at Maastricht University.
