Khairel Alias

Khairel Alias has had a diverse range of work experiences. Khairel started their career as a Senior Sales & Marketing Executive at Public Bank Berhad in 2001. Khairel then moved on to roles as an Internal Audit Executive and Senior Internal Audit Executive at Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd from 2002 to 2006. In 2006, they worked as a Senior Audit Executive at Advance Synergy Berhad and as an Executive Officer in Audit & Risk Management at Labuan Financial Services Authority. From 2008 to 2013, Khairel worked at Pos Malaysia Berhad, taking on roles like Senior Assistant Manager and Manager/Assistant Vice President in Group Internal Audit. Currently, they are employed at Sapura Energy Berhad, where they have held positions like Manager, Senior Manager, and currently, Group Chief Internal Auditor.

Khairel Alias's education history begins with their completion of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia at Sekolah Menengah Sains Johor in an unknown year. Following this, they attended Unitek College of Malaysia from 1996 to 1997, where they pursued a foundation degree in Foundation New Zealand (Accounting). In 1998, they enrolled at Lincoln University (NZ), and from 1998 to 2001, they earned their Bachelor of Commerce and Management with a specialization in Accounting. Afterward, they attended the Institute of Internal Auditor, where they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor credential in 2007.
