Dana Bouterse Saputo has had an extensive work experience in the field of graphic design and advertising. Dana began their career in 1988 at J. Walter Thompson in New York, where they worked as a manager on various client accounts including The Wall Street Journal, Clairol Hair Coloring, Lubriderm Lotion, and Bubblicious Bubble Gum. Dana then moved to Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco in 1992, where they continued to manage client relationships and creative development for brands such as Armor All, Pillsbury Breakfast Brands, and The California Raisins. In 1995, Dana joined Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco as part of the management team, overseeing client relationships and creative development for Alamo Rental Car and Peet's Coffee. In 1997, they briefly worked as a photographer and first assistant at David Campbell Photography. Finally, from 1998 onwards, Dana started their own boutique graphic design firm called Saputo Design, where they served as President and Creative Director. At Saputo Design, they specialized in brand development, package design, marketing materials development, web design, and motion graphics design for an extensive list of clients, including Alorica Inc, Amgen, BJ's Restaurants, Brendan Vacations, Dole Packaged Foods, Experian, General Motors - GMC, LinkedIn Learning, Pleasant Holidays, Readingglasses.com, Texas Ale Project, and The Habit.

Dana Bouterse Saputo attended The Wardlaw + Hartridge School from 1980 to 1984. However, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. From 1984 to 1988, Dana Bouterse Saputo studied at Gettysburg College and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Management and Studio Art.
