Art Director, Photographer & Social Media Coordinator at Sarah's Silks

Madlyn Smith has held various roles in the fashion industry since 2016. In 2016, they were a Costumer and Shop Keeper at Hot Couture Vintage Fashion, where they assisted in designing and dressing customers for parties and events, managed and organized the costume rental department, and designed and created seasonal window and store displays. In 2017, they were a Technical Designer/TD Coordinator at Marmot, where they worked with the technical design team to review mock ups from factory and fit styles on models, troubleshooted pattern and construction issues of garments, and built tech packs. Madlyn also held a role as a Stitcher/Cutter at Spreckels Performing Arts. In 2020, they were the Head Photographer at Dutton Estate Winery. Currently, they are the Head Photographer and Stylist at Sarah's Silks, where they style photoshoot designs from start to finish, captures, edits, and manages photo and video editing work, and manages the organization and design of photo needs for upcoming collections, email, and social media promotion.

Madlyn Smith attended Apparel Arts School of Design in Oakland, CA from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Certificate in Pattern Making and Fashion Design. In 2017, they became a Production Intern at TEG International's San Francisco Studio. Madlyn also attended the Albuquerque Fashion Incubator Manufacturing Bootcamp.
