Julie Blomquist

Julie Blomquist is an experienced fact-checker and copy editor currently working at VISIT FLORIDA since January 2015, where responsibilities include editing articles for the state's official tourism marketing corporation. With a long-standing tenure at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune since March 1988, Julie has contributed as Letters Editor and copy editor, enhancing the quality of print content under tight deadlines. Prior roles include editing and writing for the Senior Friendship Centers' monthly publication and serving as a marketing and visitor services assistant at Visit Sarasota County. Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, supplemented by various certifications and continuing education in grant writing and public relations.
