John Young

John Young is a versatile professional with extensive experience in finance and music composition. Currently serving in Finance and Development at Sarasota Opera since October 2017, John has also been a freelance composer and arranger since January 1991, working on various styles of music and currently writing an opera. Previous roles include Accounting Manager at trueITpros, LLC, where financial management responsibilities encompassed accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, billing, and payroll; Executive Assistant at The Mount Sinai Hospital, involved in research and report preparation; Senior Staff Accountant at Alicart Inc., handling full-range accounting for multiple restaurants; Accounts Payable Manager at both GEAC Enterprise Solutions and KPMG, contributing to the conversion processes of various accounting systems. John attended Georgia Southern University from 1987 to 1989.
