Head Audio at Sarasota Opera

Joseph Reynolds has a diverse work experience in the field of audio and video production. Joseph has worked as a Sound Supervisor at Theater Aspen, where they were responsible for overseeing the audio/video department for the theater's summer season. Joseph worked with Broadway talent, musicians, and designers, and served as the A1 for productions such as "Beautiful, the Carole King Musical," "Doubt," and "Rent."

Prior to that, Reynolds worked as the Head Audio at Sarasota Opera, where they managed the A/V needs of a large venue theater and produced five operas during the fall and winter season. Joseph also served as the house audio for various rental events.

Reynolds also has experience as a Department Supervisor at Des Moines Metro Opera, where they oversaw the installation of audio, video, projections, communications, and data systems for four repertory opera productions. Joseph worked on-site as the A/V department supervisor for the summer opera festival's 50th season.

Additionally, Reynolds has worked as an Audio Stage Hand at I.A.T.S.E Local 412 Hiring Hall, where they were involved in audio load in/out of touring performances in Sarasota. Joseph set up and struck FOH, monitor, RF, Com systems, and Orchestra Pit, and also served as a crew lead and union steward.

Joseph Reynolds earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Recording Arts Technology/Technician from Full Sail University, which they attended from 2001 to 2002. Following this, they enrolled in the State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. The dates of their enrollment at the State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota are not provided. Additionally, Joseph obtained two certifications, namely Dante Level One and Dante Level Two, from Audinate in September 2019.
