Zolkipli Mohamad Aton

Zolkipli Mohamad Aton has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Zolkipli began their career in 1986 as an Executive in Industrial Planning at Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation. In 1991, they served as an HRD & HRM Executive at Sarawak Shell Berhad. Zolkipli joined Sarawak Forestry Corporation Sdn. Bhd. in 2002 and held various managerial positions including Manager of Human Resource Development and Manager of Management & Compliance. From 2011 to 2016, Zolkipli was the Head of Sustainable Forestry & Compliance Division at the same company. Zolkipli then became the Head of Strategic Planning & Special Projects and eventually the Chief Executive Officer in January 2018.

Zolkipli Mohamad Aton has an extensive education history in the field of forestry. Zolkipli earned a Diploma in Forestry (Tropical) from Univesiti Pertanian Malaysia, Sarawak, from 1977 to 1981. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry Management from Iowa State University, from 1982 to 1984. Zolkipli Mohamad Aton furthered their studies by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Wildland Resource Science, with a specialization in Forest Economics, from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1984 to 1986.
