Damon Asher

Damon Asher has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and medical field. Damon is currently a Senior Director at Sarepta Therapeutics, where they lead the Duchenne Gene Therapy team in Global Medical Affairs. Prior to that, they held various roles at Sarepta Therapeutics, including Director and Associate Director in Global Medical Affairs, with a focus on Gene Therapy.

Before joining Sarepta Therapeutics, Damon worked at MilliporeSigma for several years in different leadership positions. Damon served as the Associate Director for Global Vaccines & Viral Therapies Market Segment Development, responsible for establishing the company as a preferred partner in gene therapies and viral vector platforms. Damon also held the role of Associate Director for Americas Vaccine Market Segment Development, where they acted as a subject matter expert and provided scientific expertise to the organization. Additionally, Damon served as the Head of Process Safety & Control and Biosafety Innovation Leader, where they led R&D teams for the development of biosafety and process monitoring technologies.

Damon's career began at UMass Medical School, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of medical research.

Damon Asher holds a PhD in Immunology from Harvard University, a BA in Microbiology from Miami University, and an MS in Medical Sciences from Harvard Medical School.
