Kate Segal

Kate Segal currently serves as the Executive Director of State Government Affairs at Sarepta Therapeutics, a role held since May 2020, where strategic initiatives are designed to promote business priorities and educate state policymakers about rare diseases and gene therapy. Previous positions at Sarepta include Senior Director and Director, during which significant efforts were made to advance public policy goals. Prior to joining Sarepta, Kate held the position of Associate Director of State Government Affairs at Biogen, advocating for business interests across the Midwest. Kate's political experience includes serving as a State Representative in the Michigan House, where bipartisan initiatives were led to secure funding for youth programs, and Chairwoman of the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners, responsible for establishing healthcare access for underserved populations. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Kalamazoo College and completion of the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University.
