Xiao-Yi Zhang

Xiao-Yi Zhang currently serves as a Professor at the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Science, since November 2019. Prior to this, Xiao-Yi held the position of Principal Digital Product Manager at GE Power from November 2015 to October 2019, where responsibilities included developing a global digital product roadmap and managing technology investments. Xiao-Yi also held various roles at Alstom Power between May 2002 and November 2015, culminating in the role of Director, Product Standardization and Platforms, overseeing platform management for the Power Sector. Earlier career experience includes a Group Manager/Project Manager role at ABB Japan from April 1995 to May 2002, focusing on project execution and plant control design. Xiao-Yi holds an eMBA in Supply Chain Management from ETH, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo, a Master in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
