Jake Berst

Community Corrections Director at Sarpy County

Jake Berst has extensive work experience in the field of community corrections. Jake started their career at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services in 2008 as a Mental Health Practitioner and worked there until 2011. In 2011, they joined Sarpy County and has held various roles within the community corrections department. These roles include Community Corrections Specialist, Community Corrections Supervisor, and currently, they are serving as the Community Corrections Director.

Jake Berst has a comprehensive education history. In 2001, they attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology in 2005. Following this, from 2005 to 2007, Jake pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Community Counseling at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 2020, they briefly returned to the University of Nebraska at Omaha to obtain a Certificate of Public Management.
