Luca Canale

Luca Canale has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career as a Vice President and Tutor at Une Grande Ecole Pourquoi Pas Moi from October 2011 to January 2014. They then became a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Physics at Cornell University from April 2014 to July 2014. Afterwards, Luca worked as a Teaching Assistant in Physics at Université Paris Descartes from September 2016 to September 2019 while concurrently pursuing their Ph.D. in Physics at École normale supérieure from September 2016 to September 2019.

In 2019, Luca joined METRON as a Data Scientist R&D, where they worked until January 2021. They then transitioned to Sarus (YC W22) in January 2021, starting as a Machine Learning Research Engineer. In this role, Luca focused on transformer-based generative models for tabular and relational data with Jax/Flax. They left Sarus in May 2023 after gaining experience in drafting technical notes, leading coordination with other teams, and handling the integration of R&D deliverables into production as a Senior ML Research Engineer. Throughout their career, Luca has demonstrated expertise in machine learning, data science, and physics research.

Luca Canale has an impressive educational background in the field of physics and mathematics. Luca'sjourney began in 2010 with their enrollment at Lycée Privé Ste Geneviève, where they pursued Prepa MPSI-PSI* studies until 2011. Luca then continued their education at École Polytechnique from 2011 to 2015, majoring in Physics and Mathematics.
