Joe Sorenson

Joe Sorenson is a seasoned professional in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as a Senior Account Executive for the Public Sector at SAS since August 2022. Previously, Joe held leadership roles at the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, including Vice President of Affiliate Relations, where strategic vision and leadership were provided to a network of 39 affiliated county and community foundations. Joe's extensive experience also includes teaching courses for the Council on Foundations, aimed at enhancing the knowledge of community foundation staff and stakeholders. Joe holds a degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Economics/Finance and Applied Philosophy from Simpson College and has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from The American College of Financial Services.
