Mark Kirk

Mark Kirk is an accomplished Senior Database Administrator at SAS since June 2006, where development of database backends for retail planning and space planogramming software has been a primary focus, utilizing Oracle and other databases such as UDB, MS SS, and Postgres. Prior to this role, Mark served as a Software Engineer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, managing software for the Chandra X-Ray satellite program from January 2003 to January 2006, and as a Database Developer at Fidelity Investments, contributing to executive compensation calculation software between January 2000 and April 2005. Mark's experience also includes serving as a System Administrator at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from June 1996 to December 1999, where responsibilities included administering the Peoplesoft system and delivering a presentation at a conference in 1998. Mark holds a BS in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned between 1986 and 1991.
