Nick R.

Nick R. is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in systems engineering, DevOps, and software development. Currently serving as Principal Systems Engineer at SAS since December 2022, Nick focuses on enhancing engineering processes by identifying and mitigating developer friction and infrastructure inefficiencies. Prior to this role, Nick was the Head of Engineering at Copia Automation, directing the creation of advanced DevOps tools, and a Senior Software Engineering Manager at GitHub, managing teams responsible for internal infrastructures and Kubernetes environments. Nick's earlier experiences include positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where best practices for cloud architecture were established, and a long tenure at Symantec, where roles varied from Senior Product Manager to Manager of Configuration Management Engineering. Nick began a career in quality assurance at IBM Global Services after earning a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California.
