Mads Brandstrup Nielsen

Mads Brandstrup Nielsen currently serves as Senior Vice President at SAS - Scandinavian Airlines, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Mads co-founded the Ukrainian Media Fund and was a member of its Steering Committee from March 2022 to December 2023. Mads also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Danske Medier and served on the Board of Directors for both News Media Europe and Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole during the same period. Additionally, Mads was a member of the Director's Committee at WAN-IFRA. From July 2019 to September 2021, Mads worked as a Special Advisor to the Minister at the Danish Ministry of Finance and was the Head of Press for Socialdemokratiet from March 2016 to July 2019. Mads has a strong background in journalism, having served as Political Editor at Dagbladet Børsen and Deputy Political Editor at Politiken. Mads holds a BA in Journalism from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole and has pursued further studies at various prestigious institutions, including IESE Business School and The London School of Economics and Political Science.
