Loreley Chekay K.C., ICD.D, CIC.C, GCU.D has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Loreley began their legal career at Balfour Moss LLP, where they worked as an Articled Student from May 2002 to June 2003 and later as an Associate from July 2003 to December 2004. In January 2005, Loreley joined the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice as a Senior Crown Prosecutor, a role they held for fourteen years until February 2019. Loreley then transitioned to Saskatchewan Government Insurance, where they served as an Associate General Counsel (Auto Fund) from February 2019 to September 2020, General Counsel from September 2020 to October 2021, and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Risk Officer. Throughout their career, Loreley has displayed a deep understanding of legal matters and risk management, making their a valued professional in their field.

Loreley Chekay K.C., ICD.D, CIC.C, GCU.D pursued their education in a variety of fields. Loreley completed the Directors Education Program at ICD-Rotman in 2022. In 2020 to 2021, they attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for the Business Leadership Program for In-House Counsel. Earlier, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 to 2002, specializing in International Exchange. Loreley also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Hons.) degree from the University of Canberra, completed between 1999 and 2002, with a focus on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. Prior to their legal studies, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.App.Sc.) in Biomechanics from the University of Canberra from 1995 to 1998.
