Afzal Hossain

Afzal Hossain, P.Eng., is a highly experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at SaskPower since March 2018, where responsibilities include engineering and maintenance support for Shand Power Station and construction and commissioning support for Great Plains Power Station. Prior roles at SaskPower included a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on project management and technical support. Previous experience includes serving as a Process Engineer at Nexans and a Performance Engineer intern at SaskPower, as well as academic roles as a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer. Afzal Hossain holds a Master of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
