Team Lead, Enterprise Analytics And Data Management at SaskPower

Amar Lakkvalli has a range of work experience spanning several industries and roles. Amar began their career as a Software Engineer at Caritor Solutions India Pvt Ltd in 2006. Amar then worked as an Engineer - Intern at the National Research Council Canada, where they conducted testing and research on water meters. In 2013, they joined Saskatchewan Government Insurance as a Business Information Analyst for a year. Amar then moved on to the Government of Saskatchewan, where they held the positions of Applied Analytics Analyst and Senior Business Analyst from 2014 to 2017. During this time, they worked on developing enterprise architecture, creating roadmaps and designs, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Since 2017, Amar has been working at SaskPower as a Team Lead in Enterprise Analytics and Data Management. In this role, they have managed major system developments, implemented new reporting models, and maintained healthy relationships with clients and vendors.

Amar Lakkvalli has a diverse educational background. Amar completed a Certificate in Machine Learning in Business from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2022, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Prior to this, they earned a Certificate in Business Administration and Management from the same institution in 2021. In 2020, they attended Cornell University for a Certificate Program in Data Analytics. Amar holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Software Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, which they obtained between 2007 and 2012. Amar also has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Instrumentation Technology/Technician from J S S Academy of Technical Education, BANGALORE, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Amar completed their secondary education at Sudarshan Vidya Mandir from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Amar Lakkvalli has pursued various certifications, including those in data visualization, electricity fundamentals, Azure AI fundamentals, and business analysis.
