Lynton Howes has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Lynton started their career at Venmar CES in 1999 as an Electrical Engineering Technologist. After working there for six months, they moved on to PotashCorp in 2000, where they continued their role as an Electrical Engineering Technologist for a year. In 2001, Lynton joined SaskPower and held various positions throughout their tenure, including System Test Technologist, Apparatus Manager, and currently, they serve as the Director of Transmission Operations and Maintenance.
Lynton Howes obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from Saskatchewan Polytechnic from 1996 to 1999. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management from Red River College Polytechnic. Lynton also holds a certification as an Applied Science Technologist from the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists & Technicians (SASTT).
