Derek Blais

Derek Blais serves as the Superintendent of Facilities for Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division since September 2025. Previously, Derek was a Director for Cities on the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association from October 2023 to October 2025. Derek has extensive experience in community services, having held the position of Director of Community Services at the City of Moose Jaw from January 2019 to September 2025, where oversight included various divisions such as Parks, Recreation & Culture and Planning & Development. Prior to that, Derek served as the Director of Parks and Recreation at the City of Moose Jaw and as Recreation Manager at the City of Prince Albert. Derek's career in sports administration includes roles as Manager of Hockey Operations and Coordinator for Men's National Teams at Hockey Canada from May 2007 to June 2014. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Business and Entrepreneurship in Sport and Recreation from Mount Royal University and a Certificate in Professional Leadership from the University of Regina.
