Zanele Sithole

Zanele Sithole is a highly experienced Senior Rock Engineer at Sasol, serving since September 2020, and previously held the position of Superintendent Rock Engineer at SAEC from June 2015 to July 2020, where an appointment was made in accordance with the MHSA regulation 14.1(8) for South 32's Khutala Colliery. Zanele also worked as a Specialist Strata Control at South32 from May 2015 to June 2019 and had a significant tenure at BHP from April 2009 to May 2015 as a Specialist in Rock Engineering. Academically, Zanele holds a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geological Sciences from the University of the Witwatersrand, and has furthered education through various programs, including an Emerging Leaders Programme from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town and multiple certifications in rock mechanics and strata control.
