Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor has a long history of work experience in the fashion industry. Michael is currently the Fashion Director at Sassy Jones, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Full Time Faculty at Virginia State University from 2016 to 2021. In 2012, they held multiple positions, including Chairman/ Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer at FASHION DESIGN CENTER, President/Director at mt design school, President/Owner at MICHAEL TAYLOR, INC, and Owner at Michael Taylor Couture. Michael was also the CEO/Design Director at Arian Chanle from 2012 to 2021, Adjunct Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002 to 2012, and Owner at Michael New York * New York from 1989 to 1997. Additionally, they were a Professor at Parsons School of Design, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Virginia Commonwealth University from 1997 to 2012.

Michael Taylor obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design - The New School between 1983 and 1986. Prior to that, they attended Virginia Commonwealth University for one year, studying Art Foundation. Additionally, in April 2012, Michael obtained an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ certification from Faith Landmarks Ministerial Fellowship.
