Sean O'Sullivan

Sean O'Sullivan has a diverse work experience in information security and compliance management. Sean is currently working as an Information Security and Compliance Manager at Satalia since November 2020. Previously, Sean served as an Information Security Risk Manager at Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Ltd from 2019 to 2020 and as an Information Security Manager at The Bank of Ireland UK from 2018 to 2019.

Before their roles in the banking sector, Sean worked at RBS for a significant duration. Sean started as an Information Security Policy Manager in the Group Information Security division in 2004 and held the position until 2010. Later on, they served as an Information Security Assurance Manager in the Corporate Banking Division from 2010 to 2014, and as an Information Security Risk Manager in Human Resources from 2014 to 2018. At RBS, Sean's responsibilities included ensuring GDPR compliance, implementing improvements for information security policies, managing data loss prevention controls, and leading investigations into data loss events.

Prior to their banking career, Sean had early career history in various companies from 1977 to 2004.

Sean O'Sullivan attended St. Austins RC Secondary Modern, where they did not receive a degree or specialize in any particular field. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITIL in August 2000. Sean then went on to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London in August 2002. Subsequently, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2003, followed by the Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) certification from (ISC)² in January 2005. Sean also achieved the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in December 2005 and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in January 2007. Lastly, they obtained the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge from the Cloud Security Alliance in December 2016.
