Sergio Aguilar Romero

Sergio Aguilar Romero has experience in various roles in the field of research and development, entrepreneurship, and engineering. Sergio worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Sateliot starting in March 2023. Prior to this, they were a Researcher PhD Student at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, starting in October 2018. Sergio also founded Ether Solutions in March 2020. In addition, they worked as an Entrepreneur at Subastech from May 2017 to September 2021. Sergio gained research experience through a Research Internship at IMT Atlantique from January 2019 to June 2019, where they focused on analyzing the SCHC framework. Sergio also worked as a Research and Development Engineer at CIT UPC, UPC BarcelonaTech Technology Center from July 2016 to October 2018, where they developed IoT products and Android applications. Sergio started their career as an Implementation Engineer at Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad from June 2008 to August 2013.

Sergio Aguilar Romero's education history begins with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, which they obtained in 2006. Sergio then pursued a Licentiate degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician from the same institution, completing it in 2008.

In 2013, Aguilar Romero joined Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Telecommunications Engineering and Management in 2016. Sergio continued their education at the same university, currently studying for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Networks, starting in 2018. The completion date of their PhD is not yet specified.
