Kepa Díez

Kepa Díez has extensive experience in software engineering, with expertise in various industries.

Kepa currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at SATLANTIS, where they develop software for New Space electronics, including on-board computer software and ground operations software. Kepa utilizes languages such as C, Python, and Bash shell scripting.

Prior to their current role, Kepa worked at BorgWarner Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on powertrain motor controller and inverter electronics for electric and hybrid vehicles. Kepa was responsible for embedded software development and design for ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE projects.

Before that, Kepa was the Application Software Design Lead at Visteon Corporation, where they worked on Driver Information electronics products for automotive customers. Kepa led a team of 12 people and played a crucial role in software design, code reviews, and ensuring software quality and functionality.

Kepa also served as the Lead Embedded Software Engineer at Fagor Electrodomésticos, leading a team of 4 embedded software/validation engineers. Kepa managed software projects, provided software architecture and design leadership, and ensured software quality through reviews.

Kepa started their career as an Embedded Software and Hardware Engineer at Fagor Electrodomésticos, where they developed software for dishwashers and washing machines. Kepa was also involved in schematics development and review for control and display boards.

Additionally, Kepa worked as a Technical and Commercial Advisor at Agilent Technologies and a Software Engineer at EiTB, where they worked on projects related to video format conversion and analog video capture and storage.

Throughout their career, Kepa has demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and has gained expertise in software development, functional safety, software architecture, and project management.

Kepa Díez has a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (ISCED 7) with a specialty in Telecommunications. Kepa obtained this degree from the University of Deusto, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (ISCED 6) with a specialty in Industrial Electronics from the same university, studying from 2000 to 2004.

In 2013, Kepa also pursued miscellaneous courses through a MOOC platform, which they completed in 2017.

In addition to their academic degrees, Kepa has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they received the IMI Level 2 Award in Routine Maintenance Activities on Electrically Propelled Vehicles and the IMI Level 3 Award in Routine Maintenance Activities on Electrically Propelled Vehicles from The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). In 2016, they earned the Advanced C Programming certificate from Feabhas Limited and the edX Verified Certificate for The Software Architect Code: Building the Digital World from edX. In 2015, they obtained the C1 English - Advanced English - ESOL L2 - IELTS 7.5 certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment. Kepa also holds the C++ For C Programmers certificate from the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtained in 2014. Recently, in 2018, Kepa received the Emergency First Aid at Work certification from VITAL FIRE SOLUTIONS LIMITED.
