Karsten Spaans

Karsten Spaans has a solid work experience in the field of engineering and scientific programming. Karsten started their career at Hansje Brinker as an InSAR Engineer in April 2011. Afterwards, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Iceland from August 2011 to December 2012. In 2013, they joined the University of Leeds as a PHD Student and later transitioned into the role of Scientific Programmer / Post Doc from July 2016 to August 2018. Currently, they are working as the Lead Engineer at SatSense Limited, where they are responsible for developing the processor for processing data over large areas and managing the technical team.

Karsten Spaans earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geophysics and Geodesy from the University of Leeds, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 2001 to 2011.
