Duane MacDonald

A local printer since 1978, Duane had a vision for the ideal printshop. With this in mind and $500, Duane started Saturn Printing & Imaging in his parents' basement in 1987. His philosophy was simple: He wanted to treat customers the way he would like to be treated. he would put himself in their shoes, he says. A simple philosophy that began to pay immediately. Within 30 days Duane rented a building on the corner of Ann Arbor Road and Newburgh.

Today, Saturn Printing & Imaging is one of the largest retail/commercial print shops around. Duane has invested heavily in state-of -the art machinery to ensure that he can do most jobs in-house. This is important to him,

Duane is very involved in daily operations of his company. Whether a press is in need of repair, a decision needs to be made about a print order, pricing needs to be finalized or there are techinical questions with a customers file, Duane is available. When asked how he has maintained such a loyal staff (most of his employees have been with Duane for more than 5 years, and some for nearly 15 years),
