Alana McKenzie

Alana McKenzie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alana began their career as an eLearning Assistant at The University of British Columbia in 2001 and later worked as a Statistics Analyst at the same institution in 2007. In 2008, Alana joined FINCAD as a Jr. Quantitative Analyst. Alana then freelanced as a Web Developer and Designer from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, Alana transitioned to a Data Analyst role at N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. Alana worked there until 2013 when they joined Asurion as a Programmer Analyst. Through different advancements, they served as a Programmer Analyst 2 from 2015 to 2017 and as a Programmer Analyst 4, Team Lead from 2017 to 2018. Alana's most recent position was with Sauce Labs, where they started as a Software Engineer in 2018 and progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer in 2021. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Sauce Labs.

Alana McKenzie completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at The University of British Columbia from 1999 to 2004. Alana then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics at Simon Fraser University from 2004 to 2007.
