Alex Arvalis

Alex Arvalis, MSc MRICS, has extensive experience in the real estate industry. Alex is currently the Head of Valuation Real Estate & Infrastructure Investments at the Public Investment Fund (PIF), one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world. Prior to this, Alex worked at Knight Frank as an Associate Partner, where they led and executed high quality valuations for various types of properties in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Alex also worked at JLL as a Chartered Senior Valuer and at Emirates REIT as a Valuation Manager. Alex has experience in conducting internal investment valuations, preparing investment reports, and providing real estate investment advice. Earlier in their career, they worked at Chestertons and Savills, where they gained experience in valuations for different types of properties. Before entering the real estate industry, Alex volunteered in the Greek Army Special Forces, where they developed leadership and training skills. Alex also worked as a Credit Officer at Mellon Group of Companies, where they excelled in credit analysis and consulting.

Alex Arvalis, MSc MRICS has a strong educational background and a range of certifications. They obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Piraeus between 1993 and 2002. In 2004 and 2005, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Corporate Real Estate Finance & Strategy from Bayes Business School in London, UK. Continuing their education, Alex completed an Executive Education Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018. Additionally, they have engaged in executive education programs at INSEAD, earning certificates in Leadership in a Crisis (2020) and Leading Successful Change (2022) both virtually and on campus in Singapore.

Along with their educational pursuits, Alex has obtained various certifications, including being a Trained RICS Auditor (2022), a Fellow Member of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM) (2019), a License A Holder (Certified Skydiver) from the US Parachute Association (USPA) (2017), a Trained RICS APC Counsellor (2017), a RICS Registered Valuer (2014), a Trained RICS APC Assessor (2014), and a RICS Member (2009).
