Mohammad Umar Tariq

Mohammad Umar Tariq serves as the Head of the MENA Investments Tax Unit at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) since April 2022, following a tenure at PwC Middle East as a Senior Associate in International Tax & Transaction Tax Services from December 2019 to April 2022, and an Assistant Manager in Tax at EY from May 2016 to December 2019. Expertise encompasses business tax advisory, international tax services, transaction tax, tax reform and policy, corporate law, and tax litigation. Earlier roles included research and assistance in IP law and civil legal issues, complemented by an education in law from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and executive programs at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and INSEAD.
