Thamer Alshareef is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and operations management. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Saudi Safari since June 2018, Thamer leads the tour company and oversees various business functions, including staffing, resource control, and stakeholder coordination. Concurrently, as a Maintenance Planning Supervisor at Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company-Luberef since June 2012, Thamer manages weekly maintenance scheduling and backlog control. Earlier roles include civil engineer at SK Group, where responsibilities involved supervising site activities, and site engineer positions at Architecture & Engineering Consulting Office, focusing on construction leadership and project execution. Thamer began their career as a safety engineer, inspecting housing for pilgrims in Mecca. Thamer holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from King AbdulAziz University.

Established in 1976, Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company - Luberef is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality base oils and the only virgin base oil producer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. From our two facilities, strategically located on the maritime Silk Road in Yanbu and Jeddah, we have a combined capacity to produce 1.3 million metric tonnes per annum of base oils.
