Ahmed Ali is a highly experienced professional in the field of computer science and automatic speech recognition. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at SDAIA since May 2024, Ahmed previously held the position of Chief Scientist at Kanari AI from June 2020 to September 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Qatar Computing Research Institute, and Speech Recognition Engineer positions at Nuance and SpinVox. Additionally, Ahmed worked as a Speech Engineer at IBM and contributed to the IBM Watson Research Center. Ahmed holds a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Automatic Speech Recognition from The University of Edinburgh, obtained between 2014 and 2018.
