Working On Novelties & Patents at Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property

Alaa Alhenaki is a bioengineering student at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, with a Bachelor of Engineering slated for completion in January 2026. Alhenaki has gathered extensive experience through various roles, including work on novelties and patents at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, participation as a change maker in the Saudi Youth of Sustainability at KAUST, and involvement with the NUSANED Investment program at SABIC, aimed at supporting SMEs under Vision 2030. Additionally, Alhenaki has collaborated with peers to develop innovative solutions in the College of Petroleum Engineering & Geosciences, while gaining insights into biochemical energy metabolism through studies at KAIST. Achievements include being a finalist in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa’22) and contributing to research on Galactosemia at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and during the RISE program. Alhenaki also serves as a content specialist for the volunteering platform Waselah, focused on advancing scientific research in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
