Shayea AlShayea possesses extensive experience in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as the Chair of the WIPO Conference and as an Intellectual Property Advisor at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) since June 2018. Prior to this role, Shayea served as Intellectual Property Consultant at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and was instrumental in establishing SAIP. With a background that includes leadership positions such as Director General of the GCC Patent Office and Director General of the Saudi Patent Office, Shayea has significant expertise in patent law and policy. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from King Saud University.
