Mohammed Y. Mardi

Mohammed Y. Mardi has a diverse work experience. Mohammed Y. is currently serving as the President of the Saudi Electronic University since October 2023. Previously, they worked as the Head of the Computer Colleges Committee in Saudi Universities at the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia from May 2023 to October 2023.

In addition, Mohammed has been associated with Al Baha University since 2014. Mohammed Y. held various roles at the university, including Associate Professor, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Assistant Professor, and Lecturer, during the period from 2014 to 2023.

Mohammed is also a Founder of D3m, Technology Consulting Services and Solutions, since April 2016. Mohammed Y. founded the company and has been leading it till now. Furthermore, they have served as the Head of Information Technology Department and Director of Academic Affairs at Al Baha University -Faculty of Computer Science & IT from August 2016 to May 2017.

Before that, Mohammed worked as a PHD Researcher at Heriot-Watt University from October 2010 to December 2015. Mohammed Y. also has experience as the Founder of Albaher Training Center from March 2002 to March 2007 and as a Co-Founder of Gulf House Advertising Agency from March 2003 to March 2006.

Mohammed Y. Mardi completed their education at Heriot-Watt University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology (Business) in 2010. Mohammed Y. then pursued further studies at the same university and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science in 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Mohammed has also obtained several certifications, including "Become a Positive Leader to Accelerate Positive Change" from IESE Business School, "Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner" from Prosci, and "Senior Executive Leadership Program" from UC Berkeley Executive Education, all in 2022. Other certifications include "Systems Thinking" from LinkedIn in 2020, "Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate" from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2020, "Business Intelligence Analyst - Mastery Award for Educators 2018" from IBM in 2020, and "Decision-Making Strategies" from LinkedIn in 2019.
