Currently serving as the Managing Director at SRMG Academy and Director of Content Development at Saudi Media and Research Group, Alaa previously held key roles at Bloomberg News where Alaa managed editorial operations in the Middle East and North Africa. With a background in journalism and extensive experience covering economic, political, and general news in the MENA region, Alaa has also worked as a correspondent at Thomson Reuters and as a Content Manager at Sarmady. Alaa is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Global Energy and Climate Policy from SOAS University of London.
