Randall Lutz

Randall Lutz is a seasoned legal professional specializing in environmental law, currently serving as a Partner and Co-Chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Saul Ewing LLP since April 2008. Previously, Lutz held the position of Partner and Chair of the Real Estate & Environmental Section at Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. from January 1998 to March 2008, and was a Partner and Chair of the Environmental Section at Smith, Somerville & Case from January 1990 to December 1997. Lutz's extensive background includes directing the Criminal Enforcement program at the US EPA from 1984 to 1987, where foundational national policies for environmental criminal enforcement were developed. Additionally, Lutz served as Principal Counsel to the Maryland Attorney General's Office from 1975 to 1984, overseeing various health and environmental legal matters. Lutz earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a B.S. with High Honors in Business from the University of Maryland.
