Systems Analyst at Sault Area Hospital

Isabelle Wheten has over 23 years of experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as an Applications Systems Analyst and Team Lead of Applications at Sault Area Hospital since May 2000. In this role, Isabelle specializes in Meditech Clinical applications, including LAB, ITS, and Pharmacy, while also being knowledgeable in various other applications. Isabelle has been involved in testing and implementing several interfaces and possesses intermediate experience in NPR report writing. As a Project Lead for a Meditech update project and ITIL certified, Isabelle brings a strong technical foundation. Prior to this position, Isabelle worked as a Laboratory Technologist at MSA Hospital from April 1994 to April 2000, gaining experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, phlebotomy, and ECG. Isabelle earned a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Cambrian College between 1986 and 1989.

Sault Area Hospital

Sault Area Hospital (SAH) is a state-of-the-art facility that opened on March 6, 2011. SAH provides primary, secondary and select tertiary services to a total catchment population of approximately 115,000 residents in Sault Ste. Marie and the District of Algoma. In addition to providing core services in Emergency and Critical Care; Medicine; Surgery; Obstetrics, Maternity and Pediatrics; Mental Health and Addictions; Complex Continuing Care; and Rehabilitation, SAH is also home to the Algoma Regional Renal Program and the Algoma District Cancer Program. With the opening of the new integrated, one-site hospital in March 2011 also came the first-ever satellite radiation treatment suite in the province. SAH is extremely proud of our approximately 1850 dedicated staff, 370 physicians (active, supportive and locums) and 500+ volunteers who provide almost 65,000 hours of service each year.
