Kerry Lucinda Brown

Associate Chair, Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design

Kerry Lucinda Brown is an accomplished academic and museum educator specializing in Asian art and art history. Currently serving as Associate Chair and Professor of Asian Art at Savannah College of Art and Design since September 2018, Kerry has also contributed to the Rubin Museum of Art through the Humanities Advisory Group for Project Himalayan Art, promoting the integration of Himalayan art into teaching curricula. Kerry's previous roles include a Museum Educator at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, where extensive programming on Asian art was developed, and adjunct faculty positions at various universities, including Rappahannock Community College and Randolph-Macon College. Kerry's academic background includes a PhD in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University and previous study in Buddhist Studies in India. Additionally, Kerry was a Fulbright IIE Scholar to Nepal, further enhancing a deep engagement with Asian art and culture.
