Oscar Betancur

Oscar Betancur is a distinguished educator and creative professional, currently serving as the Chair of Advertising and Branding at Savannah College of Art and Design since January 2013, with prior roles as Associate Chair of Social Strategy and Management and Professor of Fashion Marketing and Management, Luxury and Brand Management, and Motion Media Design. Betancur holds a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Media Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, where graduation was achieved with summa cum laude honors, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey. Previous experience includes a role as Vice President and Associate Creative Director at The Star Group from April 2004 to August 2010, leading a creative team to produce award-winning work, and serving as Senior Art Director at Gyro Worldwide, managing projects for notable clients.
