Daren Timmons has a strong background in academia and leadership roles. Daren began their career at the Virginia Military Institute in 2001, where they served as a Professor and Head of a department until 2016. After that, they moved to the University of South Carolina Aiken, where they held various positions including Dean of the College of Sciences and Engineering, Interim Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and eventually Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Currently, Daren is the Director of Industrial and Strategic Partnerships at the Savannah River National Laboratory.
Daren Timmons attended Duke University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry. Daren later pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Texas A&M University from 1994 to 1999.
