Mario Barrera Perez

Mario Barrera Perez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mario started their career as a Cashier/Bag Boy at Foodlion LLC Store in 2012, where they were responsible for maintaining their register area and organizing product displays. In 2013, they joined Academy Sports + Outdoors as a Footwear Associate, assisting customers with their footwear needs and providing guidance on specific shoe classifications.

In 2017, Mario began their employment at Augusta National Golf Club, initially as an Information Technology Intern. In this role, they ensured the proper testing, installation, and maintenance of networking and infrastructure for the Masters event, while also addressing user requests and issues. Mario later transitioned to the position of Computer Technician, taking on additional responsibilities in IT support. From September 2021 to January 2022, Mario served as the Lead Customer Support Technician, demonstrating their leadership skills.

Most recently, Mario joined Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in 2022 as a Senior Engineer. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Lead Engineer, indicating a progression in their career.

Mario Barrera Perez earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Augusta University, attending from 2014 to 2018. Mario has also obtained additional certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², which they achieved in November 2021. In addition, Mario obtained the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) Cert Prep: 1 Threats, Attacks, and Vulnerabilities certification from LinkedIn in July 2021.
